Tell us about your background and what specific strengths you bring to the EWSD Board.
CGP: After serving in several roles in K-12 education, I transitioned to the business sector. I bring with me a background in human-centered system design and data-driven performance improvement. I am naturally curious with a continued dedication to improving educational outcomes for all students.
What motivated you to want to become an EWSD Board member?
CGP: As a parent and engaged community member, I've dedicated myself to understanding and supporting EWSD's objectives. I'm excited for the opportunity to lend my experience and use my strengths where they can have the greatest impact - right at the heart of decision-making.
What is the most important responsibility of a school board?
CGP: The most important responsibility of a school board member is to actively listen to diverse perspectives, ask challenging questions, and engage in thoughtful self-reflection. It's about making informed, tough decisions that reflect the community's values and being accountable for the educational outcomes. Our role is pivotal in ensuring that every decision is well-considered and truly representative of our school community's needs.
