Summit Street School and Founders Memorial School were among 52 schools in Vermont honored for exceptional Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support work during the 2023-2024 school year.
Vermont Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (VTPBIS) is a state-wide effort designed to help school teams form a proactive, school-wide, systems approach to improving social and academic competence for all students. Vermont schools are engaged in using a formal system of positive behavioral supports.
To be considered part of the VTPBIS Network of Active Schools, schools must follow specific criteria including training with the VTPBIS State Team and maintaining ongoing contact with the assigned State TA and/or VTPBIS Coach or coordinator.
